Cover Reveal ❄ Let It Snow by Cassie Cross

Christmas is coming and I have absolutely no idea where the last nine months of my life have vanished in. I apologise for the massive delay in putting any posts up. The second the United Kingdom came out of lockdown, I made it my mission to have plans every weekend – most involved my new beau Topher (who is probably reading this now, shaking his head at his “ridiculous” pet name).

With #Lockdown2 hitting the UK as of yesterday, and all the craziness of the Pandemic running rampant across the world still, I know for a fact that the build up to Christmas is going to involve a lot Netflix Christmas movies, baking and just general weight-gaining. So, how best to celebrate the upcoming festive season, than with a few cheap-and-cheerful Christmas romances here and there!

It’s another wonderful day, and the start of October! Hello Autumn. Helping us usher in the new month is the release of the beautiful brand new cover for Jessica Therrien‘s and Joe Gazzam‘s upcoming 2020 release The Mercenary’s Daughter.

Normally actions books aren’t my cup of tea, but reading the synopsis for this one has me super excited! I’m hoping this will get me into a reading funk where I only want to read books about action and thriller.

It was supposed to be a quick mission. The only thing quick about it was how rapidly I failed.

When Special Ops recruit, Tara Kafee is dishonorably discharged, there’s only one place to go—Home.

But there’s more waiting for her there than she’s ready for.

It’s been four years since she’s been back and ten since her mother walked out on the family never to be heard of again.

She’s determined to rekindle things with her father and keep him close. That is, until he goes missing.

Soon after stumbling upon a safe room full of weapons, fake passports, and a mission’s dossier marking a target in Cuba, she reluctantly accepts the help of her angsty teenage brother. He’s the only one she can trust, so together, the two set out for Havana.

Tara is determined to get her father back, whatever it takes, but things are never easy when you’re the mercenary’s daughter.

So below is the absolutely stunning cover for The Mercenary’s Daughter and I am in love with it! The cover is so simple yet has so much going on. The model is clearly very stunning, but the cover fits so perfectly with the theme. I appreciate how the typography isn’t cluttered or overkill – it fits on the cover perfectly and makes it stand out. I fell like so much time and effort has gone into making this cover gripping and I am just purely in love with it!

Author of the young adult series Children of the Gods. Book one in the series, Oppression, became a Barnes & Noble best-seller shortly after its release.

Her trilogy has been translated and sold through major publishers around the world, such as Editions AdA (Canada), EditionsMilan (France), and SharpPoint Press (China).

Aside from her Children of the Gods series, Jessica is the author of a kid’s picture book called, The Loneliest Whale. Her award-winning stories can also be found in a published anthology of flash fiction.

Jessica spent most of her life in the small town of Chilcoot, California, high up in the Sierra Nevada Mountains. In this town of nearly 100 residents, with no streetlights or grocery stores, there was little to do but find ways to be creative. Her mother, the local English teacher, inspired her to do all things artistic, and ultimately instilled in her a love for language.

In 2003, Jessica attended California State University Long Beach where her passion for language found her studying Chinese, and in 2005 she moved to Taiwan to study abroad. From 2005 to 2006 Jessica was fully immersed in the Chinese language as she attended National Taiwan University, and in 2008 she graduated from San Diego State University magna cum laude.

Jessica currently lives in Irvine with her husband and two young sons. She is working on a new YA thriller/suspense series and a middle grade fantasy series.

Today I am so pleased to be showing you the brand new cover for Olivia Widenstein’s Feather. I don’t tend to look forward to books coming out so far in the future, but when I read the synopsis of this story, I was pretty much in love. It’s fair to say that this book is most definitely on my to-be-read list.

Before we get to see the amazing cover, below is the wonderful synopsis for the story.

It was supposed to be a quick mission. The only thing quick about it was how rapidly I failed.

With only a month left to earn her missing feathers, nineteen-year-old Leigh embarks on a trip to Paris to meet her newest project, twenty-five-year-old Jarod Adler, leader of the Parisian Mafia and the worst kind of sinner . . . a Triple.

If Leigh can get Jarod to accomplish a single act of kindness, she stands to win 100 feathers, more than enough to complete her wings and ascend to Elysium, the land of angels.

What she doesn’t count on is Jarod’s dark charm costing her feathers.

She’s dead set on saving him, and he’s dead set on destroying her.

Until he realizes destroying her wings is also destroying her heart.

A heart he longs to hear beat only for him.

Without further ado, I present to you the book cover for Feather. I love, love, love the simplicity and the decorative style of the story. There’s so much going on, but still the book gives away little. It’s a fine example of the impact great typography can make!

So you want to know more about the author? Well, here you go!

USA TODAY bestselling author Olivia Wildenstein grew up in New York City, the daughter of a French father with a great sense of humor, and a Swedish mother whom she speaks to at least three times a day. She chose Brown University to complete her undergraduate studies and earned a bachelor’s in comparative literature. After designing jewelry for a few years, Wildenstein traded in her tools for a laptop computer and a very comfortable chair. This line of work made more sense, considering her college degree.

When she’s not writing, she’s psychoanalyzing everyone she meets (Yes. Everyone), eavesdropping on conversations to gather material for her next book, baking up a storm (that she actually eats), going to the gym (because she eats), and attempting not to be late at her children’s school (like she is 4 out of 5 mornings, on good weeks).
